Video: The Last Production MGB Roadster Made in Abingdon Returns Home

Back in December 2011, the last MGB Roadster produced in Abingdon returned to the town to go on display in the Abingdon County Hall Museum.

The car had been on display in the Heritage Motor Center in Gaydon, however the team there realised its importance to the town of Abingdon and loaned it to the Abingdon County Hall Museum indefinitely. To get the MGB into its display area in the museum, it had to be stripped to a shell and supported by a special cradle so that it could be lifted up on a platform and then guided on its side through a window.

The MGB Roadster originally came off the Abingdon line on the 23rd of October, 1980 and went into the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust collection.
