1975 MGB – Rubber Nose Roadster
The 1975 MGB ‘Rubber Nose’ has an 1,800cc four-cylinder engine paired with a four-speed manual with overdrive. VIN/Chassis GHN5392141G with engine number BHM111E82806 (a replacement gold motor from British Motor Heritage swapped prior to my purchase in 2016), currently on Club registration so will be sold unregistered.
The car is in good condition, well maintained, and always garaged. It is beginning to show its age with paint crazing and a couple of tears in the hood. The car comes with lots of manuals and also a tonneau cover and hood stowage cover.
Last major service carried out by Rowntree Automotive and comes with new tyres, carpet and furl tank, reconditioned front shock absorbers, new lowered springs, rear converted to gas struts with lowering blocks, engine stripped and rebuilt during COVID with new caskets, carburettors serviced along with a new clutch.
I have owned the car since 2016 and it has never let me down. Painted in an aftermarket red, mini-lite rims, and seats in black upholstery in original condition. 67,081 miles.
