Classic TF Registrar’s Report: September 2017

Thanks to Michael Hough

Welcome to another successful month of MG Motoring. I hope that all of the cars in your collection are going well.

In this month’s deliberately-brief Classic TF Registrar’s report, I am focusing on two things:

  1. Reminding all of our readers of how we are building up a great collection of photos of ‘active’ Classic TFs over the last few years, and
  2. Giving all classic TF owners, significant others and friends my strong encouragement to turn out on the day to enable us to achieve a great classic TF attendance at our MG Car Club Concours and Display Day on:

Sunday the 22nd of October, 2017 at Silverwater Park

Each year I throw out a challenge to each and all of us classic TF owners – to see if we can get a maximum display of classic TFs. Our record so far was 15 cars at our display day in 2015.

SO, please plan to bring your TF Classic to our October 2017 event. THANKS!

The 2017 MG Car Club Concours and Show and Shine Day

The photos accompanying this article are of mainly of cars which have attended our 2014, 2015 and 2016 Classic TF events. Please enjoy them! I hope they inspire you or remind you to write Sunday 22nd October into your diary and get that classic TF ready to come on display. Thanks!

I wish you trouble free MG Motoring. Enjoy the photos of the range of TFs that have been associated with our Classic TF register over 2014, 2015 and 2016.

PLEASE BOOK SUNDAY 22ND OCTOBER 2017 INTO YOUR DIARY NOW AND LET’S SEE IF WE CAN GET MORE THAN 15 CLASSIC TFs THERE!

I hope you have enjoyed the photos accompanying this report, and I would like to thank those MG Car Club members who turned out to support any of our events.

Thanks guys!

Michael Hough,
Classic TF Registrar

My TF1500 from 1955 was the most beautiful car ever owned. It was Grey. Unfortunately I did not treat it with the respect it deserved. I learnt more about how to drive too fast,
and how to handle a car at speed that has massive oversteer. Although it was faster and more powerful than my Brother Kerry Cox’s TC I could never catch him. I often wish I had gone into car racing along with Kerry, but got side tracked into motorcycle dirt track. (Still doing it at 79). My car handling back then was not erratic, my dirt track is.
