Our June 2019 Members Gathering saw a change of venue to MG Motors Ryde for an opportunity to get to know our new MG dealership in Ryde, take a look at the new cars and enjoy a social evening together. Scroll on for a few photos from the evening, with thanks to Ingo Weinberger.

The night was very kindly hosted by MG Motors in Ryde, and included a welcome by dealer principle Warren Smith as well as a talk by sales and marketing director for MG Motor Australia, Scott McIntire. Our stunning MGB Sebring and Le Mans replica was on display and is a sight to behold, as is the range of modern cars on display at the dealer. If you haven’t done so, please do take an opportunity to head to the dealership to see what they have to offer.

Our Club’s Replica Le Mans MGB was carefully crafted some time ago by our previous keen Racing and then Regularity driver Tony Todd, who had this MGB prepared for competition. Unfortunately some ill health prevented the car being used as he intended, and it was sold a while ago. It still looks better than new, and the attention to detail is a real credit to Tony! Great to see it back and being used for everyone’s enjoyment, and hopefully inspiring some younger drivers to take up the challenge in our Club! Steve Perry
