MG TD Project/Parts Car

We have an MG TD (“Molly”) available as a project or parts package. The vehicle was dismantled in our workshop for assessment and, due to the extent of previous poor repairs, the restoration is not viable for us to continue with. We are simply looking to recoup some of our costs and would much prefer the car goes to an enthusiast rather than being scrapped.

About the car

• The vehicle was running, registered and drivable before dismantling

Condition & Findings

Upon stripping the car, we found that during a restoration attempt in the early 1980s, parts of the wooden frame and one door had been replaced with welded steel. The chassis requires straightening and the gearbox has a synchro issue. These factors make a full rebuild uneconomical for us, which is why the car is now being offered as a complete project or comprehensive parts package.
